The Governor presented Nakuru as an ideal investment location due to its central location, highly educated workforce, cheap geothermal energy, and political stability, selecting Ubuntu to represent one of the companies thriving in the area. Rubie Ruth spoke to Ubuntu's impact and in particular her unique position having been born and raised in Nakuru County. Rubie Ruth has seen first hand the desperate needs that exist in areas of Kenya like Nakuru County to empower women. We could not be more proud to have been included in such an important event and to have Rubie Ruth, Ubuntu’s Head of Operations, represent us and all of our women makers. A great reminder that we are heading in the right direction and quickly becoming a leader in Kenya and on the continent.Â
